DeleteDeploymentGroup

Deletes a deployment group.

Request Syntax

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

applicationName

The name of an Amazon CodeDeploy application associated with the user or Amazon Web Services account.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 100.

Required: Yes

deploymentGroupName

The name of a deployment group for the specified application.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 100.

Required: Yes

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response.

The following data is returned in JSON format by the service.

hooksNotCleanedUp

If the output contains no data, and the corresponding deployment group contained at least one Auto Scaling group, Amazon CodeDeploy successfully removed all corresponding Auto Scaling lifecycle event hooks from the Amazon EC2 instances in the Auto Scaling group. If the output contains data, Amazon CodeDeploy could not remove some Auto Scaling lifecycle event hooks from the Amazon EC2 instances in the Auto Scaling group.

ApplicationNameRequiredException

The minimum number of required application names was not specified.

DeploymentGroupNameRequiredException

The deployment group name was not specified.

InvalidApplicationNameException

The application name was specified in an invalid format.

HTTP Status Code: 400

InvalidDeploymentGroupNameException

The deployment group name was specified in an invalid format.

HTTP Status Code: 400

InvalidRoleException

The service role ARN was specified in an invalid format. Or, if an Auto Scaling group was specified, the specified service role does not grant the appropriate permissions to Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling.

HTTP Status Code: 400
