UpdateApplication

Changes the name of an application.

Request Syntax

Request Parameters

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

applicationName

The current name of the application you want to change.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 100.

Required: No

newApplicationName

The new name to give the application.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 100.

Required: No

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.

ApplicationAlreadyExistsException

An application with the specified name with the user or Amazon Web Services account already exists.

HTTP Status Code: 400

ApplicationDoesNotExistException

The application does not exist with the user or Amazon Web Services account.

ApplicationNameRequiredException

The minimum number of required application names was not specified.

HTTP Status Code: 400

InvalidApplicationNameException

The application name was specified in an invalid format.

HTTP Status Code: 400
