DeleteDomain

Deletes a Amazon DataZone domain.

Request Syntax

DELETE /v2/domains/identifier?clientToken=clientToken&skipDeletionCheck=skipDeletionCheck HTTP/1.1

URI Request Parameters

The request uses the following URI parameters.

clientToken

A unique, case-sensitive identifier that is provided to ensure the idempotency of the request.

identifier

The identifier of the AWS domain that is to be deleted.

Pattern: ^dzd[-_][a-zA-Z0-9_-]{1,36}$

Required: Yes

skipDeletionCheck

Specifies the optional flag to delete all child entities within the domain.

Request Body

The request does not have a request body.

Response Syntax

HTTP/1.1 202 Content-type: application/json { "status": "string" }

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 202 response.

The following data is returned in JSON format by the service.

status

The status of the domain.

Type: String

Valid Values: CREATING | AVAILABLE | CREATION_FAILED | DELETING | DELETED | DELETION_FAILED
