本地区域是一种类型的 Amazon Web Services 基础设施部署，它将精选的计算、存储和其它 Amazon Web Services 服务放在人口密集区和工业中心附近。要了解有关本地区域的更多信息，请参阅 [Amazon 本地区域](https://www.amazonaws.cn/about-aws/global-infrastructure/localzones/)。

在本地区域中，您可以创建 S3 目录存储桶来将数据存储在特定的数据边界或大都市区中，这有助于支持数据驻留应用场景。Amazon Web Services 北京本地区域由 Sinnet 运营和提供，该公司还运营和提供 Amazon Web Services 中国（北京）区域的服务。目录存储桶目前在其它 [Amazon Local Zones 站点](https://www.amazonaws.cn/about-aws/global-infrastructure/localzones/locations/)不可用。

可以在本地区域中使用 Amazon Web Services 管理控制台、REST API、Amazon Command Line Interface（Amazon CLI）和 Amazon SDK。
