Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instance
The following example shows a component configuration in JSON format for an Amazon EC2 instance.
Important
When an Amazon EC2 instance enters a stopped
state, it is removed
from monitoring. When it returns to a running
state, it is
added to the list of Unmonitored components on the
Application details page of the CloudWatch Application Insights console. If
automatic monitoring of new resources is enabled for the application, the
instance is added to the list of Monitored components.
However, the logs and metrics are set to the default for the workload. The
previous log and metrics configuration is not saved.
