# Manage your name or nickname in Amazon Settings

You can change your name at any time. All team members can see your name, and if you've upgraded to the Paid Plan, this is the name that appears on your billing information. If you signed up for Amazon in India, your name must exactly match the name that appears on the document you plan to use for customer verification.

When you change your name, you change the name in your Amazon Builder ID. This will impact your name in Amazon Settings, Amazon Builder ID, and any Amazon resources you access directly through the Amazon Builder ID.

Your Name is how you're referred to in tools and services while interacting with others. Your Nickname indicates how you want to be known by Amazon, friends, and other people you collaborate with closely.

**To change your name or nickname**

1. Open Amazon Settings at [https://settings.aws.com](https://settings.aws.com).

1. In the main navigation pane, choose **Manage profile**.

1. For **Profile info**, choose **Manage profile**.

   You'll be redirected to your Amazon Builder ID profile.

1. For profile information, choose **Edit**.

1. (Optional) For **Name**, enter a new name.

1. (Optional) For **Nickname**, enter a new nickname.

1. Choose **Save changes**.
