# Remove a spend limit in Amazon Settings

The project owner can remove a spend limit in Amazon Settings at any time. When you remove a spend limit, Amazon will no longer monitor your costs or take any early cost controls on your project. For more information about how spend limits work, see [Create a spend limit in Amazon Settings](create-spend-limit.md).

## Remove a spend limit in Amazon Settings

**To remove a spend limit**

1. Open Amazon Settings at [https://settings.aws.com](https://settings.aws.com).

1. In the main navigation pane, choose **Billing**.

1. In **Cost by project**, for **Spend limit**, choose the pencil icon.

1. Choose **Remove limit**.

1. Confirm your choice and choose **Remove**.

Your spend limit will be removed immediately.
