Amazon Compute Optimizer in Amazon Web Services China

Amazon Compute Optimizer recommends optimal Amazon Web Services compute resources for your workloads. It can help you reduce costs and improve performance, by using machine learning to analyze your historical utilization metrics. Compute Optimizer helps you choose the optimal resource configuration based on your utilization data.

Region availability

Amazon Compute Optimizer is available in the following regions in China:

  • China (Beijing) Region

  • China (Ningxia) Region

How Amazon Compute Optimizer differs

The following differences apply to Amazon Compute Optimizer:

  • The Delegated administrator feature is unavailable in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions.

  • The External metrics ingestion feature is unavailable in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions.

  • The HDD (st1 and sc1) and the Provisioned IOPS SSD io2 Block Express EBS volume types aren’t supported in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions.

  • The C6in, C7a, M6idn, M6in, R6idn, and R6in Amazon EC2 instance types aren’t supported in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions.

  • The Savings estimation mode feature is unavailable in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions.

  • The Rightsizing recommendation preferences feature is unavailable in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions.

  • Recommendations for RDS databases aren’t supported in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions.

  • Recommendations for idle resources aren’t supported in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions.

  • Recommendations for EC2 Auto Scaling groups that have mixed instance types, scaling policies, or both aren’t supported in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions.
