Amazon DataSync in Amazon Web Services in China

Amazon DataSync is an online data transfer service that simplifies, automates, and accelerates moving data between storage systems and services.

Region availability

DataSync is available in the following regions in China:

  • Beijing Region

  • Ningxia Region

How Amazon DataSync differs

The following differences apply to Amazon DataSync:

  • Transferring data across Amazon Web Services Regions works only when transferring between the Beijing Region and Ningxia Region.

  • Connecting your DataSync agent to Amazon Web Services using Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) endpoints isn’t available. You can connect your agent using virtual private cloud (VPC) endpoints or public endpoints.

  • You can’t transfer data to or from an Amazon Snowball Edge device because it isn’t available in these Regions.

  • You can’t transfer data between Amazon S3 and Amazon S3 on Outposts because S3 on Outposts isn’t available in these Regions.
