Amazon Elastic File System provides file storage for your Amazon EC2 instances. With Amazon EFS, you can create a file system, mount the file system on your EC2 instances, and then read and write data from your EC2 instances to and from your file system.

How Amazon Elastic File System (EFS) differs

The access point limit for each file system is 1,000.

You cannot request increased IOPS for EFS file systems using Elastic throughput mode.

Maximum combined read and write throughput is 500 mebibytes per second (MiBps) for all file systems.

The EFS console refers to One Zone as a storage class instead of a file system type.
