Kinesis is a platform for streaming data on Amazon, offering managed services to make it easy to load and analyze streaming data, and also providing the ability for you to build custom streaming data applications for specialized needs.
Amazon Kinesis Data Streams is a managed service that scales elastically for real-time processing of streaming data at a massive scale. The service collects large streams of data records that can then be consumed in real time by multiple data-processing applications that can be run on EC2 instances.
