Amazon Organizations in Amazon Web Services China

Amazon Organizations helps you centrally manage and govern your environment as you grow and scale your Amazon resources. Using Organizations, you can create accounts and allocate resources, group accounts to organize your workflows, apply policies for governance, and simplify billing by using a single payment method for all of your accounts.

Region availability

Amazon Organizations is available in the following regions in China:

  • China (Beijing) Region

  • China (Ningxia) Region

How Amazon Organizations differs

The following differences apply to Amazon Organizations:

  • Declarative policies – You can’t use the following declarative policy types in an organization in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions:

    • Backup policies

    • Chat applications policies

    • AI services opt-out policies

    • Bedrock policies

    • Shield Network Security Director policies

  • Multi-party approval – Multi-party approval is not available in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions.

The following features are limited in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions:

  • Tag policies – when creating a tag report with the StartReportCreation operation, you must call that operation from the China (Ningxia) Region (cn-northwest-1).

  • Account quotas – The maximum number of accounts allowed in an organization in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Regions is 5,000.
