Quick in Amazon Web Services China

Quick is a fast business analytics service to build visualizations, perform ad hoc analysis, and quickly get business insights from your data. Quick seamlessly discovers Amazon data sources, enables organizations to scale to hundreds of thousands of users, and delivers fast and responsive query performance by using the Quick Super-fast, Parallel, In-Memory, Calculation Engine (SPICE).

Region availability

Quick is available in the following regions in China:

  • China (Beijing) Region

How Quick differs

The following differences apply to Quick:

  • Quick Standard Edition accounts are not available in China (Beijing) Region. Only Quick Enterprise edition is available.

  • IAM-federated identities and Quick managed users are not available for new Quick account subscriptions. The following identity methods are available in China (Beijing) Region:

    • IAM Identity Center

    • Active Directory

  • Quick Q is not available in China (Beijing) Region.

  • The Quick mobile app is not available in China (Beijing) Region.

  • Geospatial maps are not available for analyses in China (Beijing) Region.

  • The following data source types are not available in China (Beijing) Region:

    • Amazon IoT

    • Amazon Timestream

    • Adobe Analytics

    • GitHub

    • Jira

    • Salesforce

    • ServiceNow

  • Namespaces to support multitenancy and isolation within the same Quick account are not available in China (Beijing) Region. Only the default namespace is supported.

  • Granting access to a dashboard to anyone on the internet (globally or domestic) is not available in China (Beijing) Region.

  • Service built-in tutorial videos are not available in China (Beijing) Region.

  • Custom email report templates are not available in China (Beijing) Region.

  • New users can’t be added to a Quick account through the Admin console. To add a new user to a Quick account, use the Quick API.
