Amazon Virtual Private Cloud in Amazon Web Services in China

Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) lets you provision a logically isolated section of the Amazon Web Services in China cloud where you can launch Amazon Web Services in China resources in a virtual network that you define. You have complete control over your virtual networking environment, including selection of your own IP address range, creation of subnets, and configuration of route tables and network gateways.

Region availability

Amazon Virtual Private Cloud is available in the following regions in China:

  • Beijing Region

  • Ningxia Region

How Amazon VPC differs

The following differences apply to Amazon Virtual Private Cloud:

  • Amazon Site-to-Site VPN service is not available.

  • You can’t assign a private DNS name to a VPC endpoint service.

  • Bring your own IP (BYOIP) and Bring your own ASN (BYOASN) are not available.

  • Reachability Analyzer is not available.

  • Network Access Analyzer is not available.

  • You can’t use Amazon VPC IP Address Manager (IPAM) to get a contiguous block of public IPv4 addresses from Amazon and use it to allocate Elastic IP addresses to Amazon Web Services resources.

  • Amazon VPC Route Server is not available.
