Amazon WorkSpaces in Amazon Web Services China

Amazon WorkSpaces offers an easy way to provide a cloud-based virtual desktop to your end users. You can use Amazon WorkSpaces to provision either Windows or Linux desktops in just a few minutes and quickly scale to provide thousands of desktops to your users. Select from a choice of bundles that offer a range of different amounts of CPU, memory, storage, and a choice of applications. Users can connect from a Windows or Linux PC, Mac desktop computer, iPad, Kindle, or Android tablet.

Amazon WorkSpaces is available in the following regions in China:

  • China (Ningxia) Region

How WorkSpaces differs

The following differences apply to Amazon WorkSpaces:

  • The WorkSpaces Quick Setup feature is not available.

  • Windows 7/Windows 2008 WorkSpaces are not available.

  • Amazon WorkSpaces Application Manager (WAM) is not available.

  • Amazon WorkSpaces Web Access is not currently available.

  • Integration with Amazon WorkDocs is not currently supported.

  • Copying images across Regions is not currently supported.

  • The cross-Region redirection feature is not available.

  • WorkSpace branding customization is not currently supported.

  • Amazon WorkSpaces Advisor is not available.
