# Configuration basics

The Amazon DCV Session Manager CLI has a set of configuration parameters that the user can specify. The following parameters are required:
+ Broker URL
+ Client ID
+ Client password

The configuration parameters can be defined in the following three ways:
+ Command line
+ Environment variables
+ Configuration file
