## Amazon security credentials

When you interact with Amazon, you specify your Amazon *security credentials* to verify who you are and whether you have permission to access the resources that you are requesting. Amazon uses the security credentials to authenticate and authorize your requests.

## Amazon IP address ranges

Amazon publishes its current IP address ranges in JSON format. You can download a `.json` file to view current ranges.

The IP address ranges that you bring to Amazon through bring your own IP addresses (BYOIP) are not included in the `.json` file.
