# Asset synchronization with Amazon IoT SiteWise

Amazon IoT TwinMaker supports asset synchronization (asset sync) for your Amazon IoT SiteWise assets and asset models. Using the Amazon IoT SiteWise component type, asset sync takes existing Amazon IoT SiteWise assets and asset models and converts these resources into Amazon IoT TwinMaker entities, components, and component types. The following sections walk you through how to configure asset sync and which Amazon IoT SiteWise assets and asset models can be synced to your Amazon IoT TwinMaker workspace.
