AddThingToBillingGroup

Adds a thing to a billing group.

Requires permission to access the AddThingToBillingGroup action.

Request Syntax

PUT /billing-groups/addThingToBillingGroup HTTP/1.1 Content-type: application/json { "billingGroupArn": "string", "billingGroupName": "string", "thingArn": "string", "thingName": "string" }

The request does not use any URI parameters.

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

billingGroupArn

The ARN of the billing group.

billingGroupName

The name of the billing group.

This call is asynchronous. It might take several seconds for the detachment to propagate.

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

thingArn

The ARN of the thing to be added to the billing group.

Type: String

thingName

The name of the thing to be added to the billing group.

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.

An unexpected error has occurred.

The specified resource does not exist.
