Understanding billing and usage in MediaConvert

When using AWS Elemental MediaConvert, you don't have to pay any upfront fees or commit to how much content you'll transcode. Like other Amazon Web Services services, you pay as you go and pay only for what you use.

Amazon provides the following reports for MediaConvert:

  • Billing reports – Provides high-level views of all of the activity for the Amazon Web Services services that you're using, including MediaConvert. With billing reports, you can also find the total number of Normalized Transcoding Minutes for MediaConvert jobs you were billed for within a billing period.   • Usage report – A summary of activity for a specific service, aggregated by hour, day, or month. You can choose which usage type and operation to include, and choose how the data is aggregated.
