Understanding the desktop interface
The interface is organized into a left navigation rail, a main content area, a top bar, and overlay panels.
Home
When you open Quick, the Home screen shows a time-aware greeting and the chat composer as the main entry point. It also surfaces connection setup cards for data sources you have not connected, and Quick Briefs, a summary of your highest-priority feed items with a link to open the full feed.
From the composer you choose which agent handles the conversation, set the response mode (Fast, Balanced, or Smart), and set the thinking effort (Off, Low, Medium, or High). You can also start an Incognito chat, a private conversation that Quick does not save to your history.
Features
The navigation rail on the left provides access to the main areas of Amazon Quick.

Choose Edit navigation to select and reorder the areas shown in the rail.
Recents
Below the navigation, the Recents area lists your previous conversations, organized into folders and by date. From Recents you can organize conversations into folders, each showing a count; pin a conversation; rename, move, archive, or delete a conversation from its menu; search across your conversations; and use Auto-clean up to sort chats into folders by topic.
Account menu
Selecting your profile at the bottom of the rail opens the account menu, which reaches My context, Settings, Help, and Sign out. Your profile is also where you view your current session usage.
Overlay panels and top bar
The overlay panels and top bar give you access to content and tooling without leaving your current chat view: session activity, the Feed, Mission Control, the All data and apps panel (the spaces, local folders, and skills available to the current conversation), and Session tabs (an in-conversation reader where documents open beside the chat). The top bar contains a fixed ingress to Mission Control and a connection status indicator.
