# UpdateSPICECapacityConfiguration

Updates the SPICE capacity configuration for a Quick Sight account.

The request uses the following URI parameters.

 ** [AwsAccountId](#API_UpdateSPICECapacityConfiguration_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="QS-UpdateSPICECapacityConfiguration-request-uri-AwsAccountId"></a>
The ID of the Amazon account that contains the SPICE configuration that you want to update.  
Length Constraints: Fixed length of 12.  
Pattern: `^[0-9]{12}$`   
Required: Yes

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

 ** [PurchaseMode](#API_UpdateSPICECapacityConfiguration_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="QS-UpdateSPICECapacityConfiguration-request-PurchaseMode"></a>
Determines how SPICE capacity can be purchased. The following options are available.   
+  `MANUAL`: SPICE capacity can only be purchased manually.
+  `AUTO_PURCHASE`: Extra SPICE capacity is automatically purchased on your behalf as needed. SPICE capacity can also be purchased manually with this option.
Type: String  
Valid Values: `MANUAL | AUTO_PURCHASE`   
Required: Yes
