Amazon Redshift will no longer support the creation of new Python UDFs starting November 1, 2025.
If you would like to use Python UDFs, create the UDFs prior to that date.
Existing Python UDFs will continue to function as normal. For more information, see the

Describe metadata about a SQL statement
To get descriptions of metadata for a SQL statement, use the aws
redshift-data describe-statement
Amazon CLI command. Authorization to run this
command is based on the caller's IAM permissions.
The following Amazon CLI command describes a SQL statement.
