Migrating your Amazon WAF Classic resources to Amazon WAF

You should only use this version if you created Amazon WAF resources, like rules and web ACLs, in Amazon WAF prior to November 2019, and you have not migrated them over to the latest version yet. This section provides guidance for migrating your rules and protection pack or web ACLs from Amazon WAF Classic to Amazon WAF. Amazon WAF was released in November 2019. If you created resources like rules and protection pack or web ACLs using Amazon WAF Classic, you either need to work with them using Amazon WAF Classic or migrate them to this latest version.

Amazon WAF Classic support will end on September 30, 2025.
