Where you can use Infrastructure Composer
Note
End of support notice: On December 7, 2026, the standalone Amazon Infrastructure Composer console will no longer be available. We have replaced Infrastructure Composer with an improved visual IaC editor on the Amazon console pages where it was previously embedded. The full Infrastructure Composer experience remains available via the Amazon Toolkit for Visual Studio Code. For more information, see Amazon Infrastructure Composer end of support.
You can use Infrastructure Composer from its console, from Amazon Toolkit for Visual Studio Code, and in Infrastructure Composer in CloudFormation console mode. While each varies for slightly different use cases, overall they are similar experiences. This section provides details of each experience.
The topic Using the Amazon Infrastructure Composer console is a comprehensive overview of the default console experience. The topic CloudFormation console mode provides details on a version of Infrastructure Composer that is integrated with the Amazon CloudFormation stack workflow. Amazon Toolkit for Visual Studio Code provides information on accessing and using Infrastructure Composer in VS Code.
