Deletes a stack set. Before you can delete a stack set, all its member stack instances must be deleted. For more information about how to complete this, see DeleteStackInstances.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginDeleteStackSet and EndDeleteStackSet.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.CloudFormation.Model.DeleteStackSetRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the DeleteStackSet service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the DeleteStackSet service method, as returned by CloudFormation.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
OperationInProgressException Another operation is currently in progress for this stack set. Only one operation can be performed for a stack set at a given time.
StackSetNotEmptyException You can't yet delete this stack set, because it still contains one or more stack instances. Delete all stack instances from the stack set before deleting the stack set.
