Creates a connection. A connection defines the authorization type and credentials to use for authorization with an API destination HTTP endpoint.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginCreateConnection and EndCreateConnection.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.CloudWatchEvents.Model.CreateConnectionRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the CreateConnection service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the CreateConnection service method, as returned by CloudWatchEvents.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
InternalException This exception occurs due to unexpected causes.
LimitExceededException The request failed because it attempted to create resource beyond the allowed service quota.
ResourceAlreadyExistsException The resource you are trying to create already exists.
