Compute Optimizer generates commercial software license recommendations

Compute Optimizer now generates license recommendations for commercial software that run on Amazon EC2. Compute Optimizer only provides Microsoft SQL Server license recommendations. For more information, see Viewing commercial software license recommendations.

Compute Optimizer generates new recommendations, and supports new EC2 instance types and Windows memory metrics

Compute Optimizer now generates recommendations for Amazon ECS services running on Fargate. Compute Optimizer also provides recommendations for workloads running on Amazon Graviton-based instances and a wider range of EC2 instance types, including C5d, Im4gn, and Hpc6a. Additionally, Compute Optimizer now prioritizes the Available MBytes memory metric when generating recommendations for EC2 Windows instances. This update applies in the China (Beijing) and China (Ningxia) Amazon Web Services Regions. Amazon EC2 instance recommendations enhancements

Compute Optimizer now evaluates a wider range of instance metrics to generate recommendations. It also provides finding instance recommendations reasons and describes the platform differences between the current instance and the recommended instance type. Amazon Graviton based instance recommendations

Compute Optimizer now provides the price and performance impact for running your workload on Amazon Graviton based instances. For more information, see Amazon Graviton-based instance recommendations. If your account is your organization's management account, you can now also view the member accounts of an organization that are opted in to Compute Optimizer.
