Bring your own IP CIDR to IPAM using only the Amazon CLI

Bringing Your Own IP (BYOIP) to IPAM allows you to use your organization's existing IPv4 and IPv6 address ranges in Amazon. This enables you to maintain consistent branding, improve network performance, enhance security, and simplify management by unifying on-premises and cloud environments under your own IP address space.

Follow these steps to bring an IPv4 or IPv6 CIDR to IPAM using only the Amazon CLI.

Note

Before you begin, you must have first verified domain control.

Once you bring an IPv4 address range to Amazon, you can use all of the IP addresses in the range, including the first address (the network address) and the last address (the broadcast address).
