API for Amazon CodeCatalyst

ABAP Package /AWS1/API_CAT_IMPL
ABAP SDK "TLA" CAT
ABAP Interface /AWS1/IF_CAT

The "TLA" is a Three Letter Abbreviation that appears in ABAP class names, data dictionary objects and other ABAP objects throughout the AWS SDK for SAP ABAP. The TLA for Amazon CodeCatalyst is CAT. This TLA helps squeeze ABAP objects into the 30-character length limit of the ABAP data dictionary.

Installation

To install the AWS SDK for SAP ABAP, import the Core transport, along with the transport for the CodeCatalyst module and other API modules you are interested in. A few modules are included in the Core transport itself. For more information, see the Developer Guide guide.

About The Service

Welcome to the Amazon CodeCatalyst API reference. This reference provides descriptions of operations and data types for Amazon CodeCatalyst. You can use the Amazon CodeCatalyst API to work with the following objects.

Spaces, by calling the following:

  • DeleteSpace, which deletes a space.

  • GetSpace, which returns information about a space.

  • GetSubscription, which returns information about the Amazon Web Services account used for billing purposes and the billing plan for the space.

  • ListSpaces, which retrieves a list of spaces.

  • UpdateSpace, which changes one or more values for a space.

Projects, by calling the following:

  • GetProject, which returns information about a project.

  • ListProjects, which retrieves a list of projects in a space.

Users, by calling the following:

  • GetUserDetails, which returns information about a user in Amazon CodeCatalyst.

Source repositories, by calling the following:

Dev Environments and the Amazon Web Services Toolkits, by calling the following:

Workflows, by calling the following:

Security, activity, and resource management in Amazon CodeCatalyst, by calling the following:

  • CreateAccessToken, which creates a personal access token (PAT) for the current user.

  • DeleteAccessToken, which deletes a specified personal access token (PAT).

  • ListAccessTokens, which lists all personal access tokens (PATs) associated with a user.

  • ListEventLogs, which retrieves a list of events that occurred during a specified time period in a space.

  • VerifySession, which verifies whether the calling user has a valid Amazon CodeCatalyst login and session.

If you are using the Amazon CodeCatalyst APIs with an SDK or the CLI, you must configure your computer to work with Amazon CodeCatalyst and single sign-on (SSO). For more information, see Setting up to use the CLI with Amazon CodeCatalyst and the SSO documentation for your SDK.

Using the SDK

In your code, create a client using the SDK module for Amazon CodeCatalyst, which is created with factory method /AWS1/CL_CAT_FACTORY=>create(). In this example we will assume you have configured an SDK profile in transaction /AWS1/IMG called ZFINANCE.

DATA(go_session)   = /aws1/cl_rt_session_aws=>create( 'ZFINANCE' ).
DATA(go_cat)       = /aws1/cl_cat_factory=>create( go_session ).

Your variable go_cat is an instance of /AWS1/IF_CAT, and all of the operations in the Amazon CodeCatalyst service are accessed by calling methods in /AWS1/IF_CAT.

API Operations

For an overview of ABAP method calls corresponding to API operations in Amazon CodeCatalyst, see the Operation List.

Factory Method

/AWS1/CL_CAT_FACTORY=>create( )

Creates an object of type /AWS1/IF_CAT.

IMPORTING

Optional arguments:

IV_PROTOCOL TYPE /AWS1/RT_PROTOCOL /AWS1/RT_PROTOCOL

IO_SESSION TYPE REF TO /AWS1/CL_RT_SESSION_BASE /AWS1/CL_RT_SESSION_BASE

IV_REGION TYPE /AWS1/RT_REGION_ID /AWS1/RT_REGION_ID

IV_CUSTOM_ENDPOINT TYPE /AWS1/RT_ENDPOINT /AWS1/RT_ENDPOINT

RETURNING

OO_CLIENT TYPE REF TO /AWS1/IF_CAT /AWS1/IF_CAT

/AWS1/IF_CAT represents the ABAP client for the CodeCatalyst service, representing each operation as a method call. For more information see the API Page page.

Configuring Programmatically

DATA(lo_config) = DATA(go_cat)->get_config( ).

lo_config is a variable of type /AWS1/CL_CAT_CONFIG. See the documentation for /AWS1/CL_CAT_CONFIG for details on the settings that can be configured.

Paginators

Paginators for Amazon CodeCatalyst can be created via get_paginator() which returns a paginator object of type /AWS1/IF_CAT_PAGINATOR. The operation method that is being paginated is called using the paginator object, which accepts any necessary parameters to provide to the underlying API operation. This returns an iterator object which can be used to iterate over paginated results using has_next() and get_next() methods.

Details about the paginator methods available for service Amazon CodeCatalyst can be found in interface /AWS1/IF_CAT_PAGINATOR.
